I’m so excited to launch my new book club, Kristine’s Book Club on my birthday! Such a great gift to myself, lol! I’ve been longing to do this for ages, and I really hope you’ll enjoy this journey with me.

My intention for this book club is to offer a safe space to read, learn and discuss spirituality and wellness, and develop a stronger sense of purpose in life. This is a beautiful opportunity to expand together as a community! 

My first book pick to kickstart 2021 – Only Love is Real: A Story of Soulmates Reunited by Dr. Brian Weiss – was an easy choice! I wanted to share one of my favorites that was a game changer for my spiritual path. Here’s how it all unfolded.

I’ve always been a believer of the afterlife, reincarnation, and receiving messages from loved ones – but I never found evidence that I felt was grounded enough to openly discuss these topics without judgment. Spirituality is often ridiculed and made unbelievable for the average person. My biggest problem with spirituality is the need to demystify it, when it’s the most natural thing about us!

Many years ago, as I was half asleep and depressed lying on my sofa, I woke up with great alertness when Dr. Brian Weiss appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show. He's an American psychiatrist, hypnotherapist and specializes in past life regression! This was so exciting for me. According to Weiss, one of his patients, “Catharine”, began discussing past life experiences while under hypnosis. He didn’t believe in reincarnation at the time, but after confirming certain elements of Catharine’s stories through public records, he became convinced of the survival of the human spirit after death. Dr. Weiss claims he’s regressed more than 4,000 patients since 1980. 

It was very fitting for me to choose Only Love is Real: A Story of Soulmates Reunited because I’m obviously deeply spiritual and a romantic at heart. It’s about two strangers who are unaware that they’ve been lovers throughout centuries, and are brought together again. Dr. Weiss teaches us that every single one of us has a soulmate whom we’ve loved in past incarnations. 

This book brought me so much peace and reassurance that we’ll all meet those we’re destined to be with here in the physical world.
