Lessons From “Anatomy of the Spirit” by Caroline Myss

by Kristine Fredheim on September 27, 2021

I came across Caroline Myss during one of my YouTube deep-dives. She had done an interview with Oprah, which I felt was so, so interesting and filled with spiritual knowledge! And man did it feel like the absolute TRUTH... I urge you to watch it here.

That same day, I purchased “Anatomy of the Spirit” on Audible and couldn't stop listening! Not only is Caroline really funny - she is also very relatable, humble and direct in telling her story with so many “a-ha” moments.

I wanted to share this book with you guys because it’s so informative and spiritually mind-blowing. I knew you’d be just as shook! I also recommend taking notes for your own journey.

Throughout “Anatomy of the Spirit”, Caroline goes through the seven stages of power and healing. I wanted to share a few of the stages below!

On the first chakra: “Archetypically the word tribal connotes group identity, group force, group willpower, and group belief patterns. All of these meanings make up the energy of the first chakra. The first chakra grounds us.”

On the second chakra: “The second chakra is the partnership chakra. […] With the second chakra energy shifts from obeying tribal authority to discovering other relationships that satisfy personal, physical needs.”

On the third chakra: “It assists us further in the process of individuation, of forming a self, ego, and personality separate from our inherited identity. This energy center also contains most issues related to the development of personal power and self-esteem.”

If you haven’t read the book yet, you should definitely get on it! You’ll learn so much about all seven chakras and gain a new perspective on the human spirit. Shop here

Excited to share our next read coming up on October 1st!
